A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a given e-mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise said, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends an email message to it, or to any miswritten email address under the exact same domain name, you’ll receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential in case you are running a company, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited bulk email messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters in order to receive only authentic emails in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

If you have a Linux shared website hosting with our company and you want to activate the catch-all feature for a given mailbox that you’ve got in your hosting account, it will take literally just a click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to achieve that. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each email address that you have set up under any domain hosted in your account. You can choose one single address per domain name by clicking the corresponding button. This will activate the feature immediately, so all messages sent to mistyped email addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button once more will turn off the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will show a warning message and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature till you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply choose a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server package that we offer will allow you to set up a catch-all email mailbox effortlessly even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to achieve that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you have set up using your domains in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you do not need this feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
