Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal TLD is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal sites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are popular by. At first, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to obtain john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Existing third-level domain names remained running.

Through our company, you can obtain your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to alter the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registration service provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been completed. There are no special restrictions on who can buy a .NAME domain, but in order to keep the concept behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
